Non-ulcer dyspepsia is one of the most common diseases in the world, especially in USA. Also known as functional dyspepsia, it is basically is a type of peptic ulcer disease. Non-ulcer dyspepsia generally occurs in the stomach or in the duodenum (in the upper part of the small intestine).
How do the Ulcers develop?

The duodenal lining and stomach have various mechanisms which help to avoid ulcers from developing. Including:
  • A covering of mucous layer or mucus defends the lining of stomach from the results of acidic digestive juices
  • Food and the other materials in the stomach reduce the effect of Acid. Several chemicals formed by the stomach defend the cells stomach lining.

Causes of non-ulcer dyspepsia:

The symptoms of non-ulcer dyspepsia come from the upper gut. Even after endoscopy, no symptom of this disease is shown. The lining part inside the gut doesn’t look inflamed but normal. The acid quantity in stomach is also normal.

It’s quite hard to understand why you should practice problems when all the tests have not revealed a problem with your stomach. It is thought that the trouble with non-ulcer dyspepsia is with the method in which reduction of the muscles and activity of stomach works. For some cause comes out to have become messed up. The stomach has its own nerve control system, which manages the contraction and movement of the muscles.
If the mucus layer is injured, or if the acid neutralizing materials are deficient in normal quantity, digestive fluids can cause breakdown and irritation of the duodenal lining or stomach, permitting an ulcer to form.
